ESCAMBIA COMMUNITY CLINICS OFFERING AFFORDABLE HEALTHCARE ENROLLMENT ASSISTANCE
Escambia Community Clinics, Inc. (ECC) is offering assistance to individuals who are seeking health insurance through the Affordable Care Act open enrollment period. ECC’s Outreach and Enrollment staff are available to answer questions and provide education on health insurance options through the federally facilitated Marketplace, including assistance with creating accounts, submitting applications, and reviewing qualified health plans. Through the Health Insurance Marketplace, eligible Americans may be able to enroll in an affordable health plan, in some cases with coverage that starts as early as January, 2016.
Counselors are located at ECC’s main service administrative location at 14 West Jordan Street in Pensacola, and there is also appointment availability through ECC satellite clinics at Cantonment Medical Center and Santa Rosa Community Clinic. Call 850-436-4630 to schedule a free appointment. In addition to Marketplace assistance, ECC’s Outreach and Enrollment Counselors can also provide information on Florida Medicaid and other community resources.
Since 1992, the mission of Escambia Community Clinics (ECC) has been to provide comprehensive primary and preventive health care to the citizens of Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties and surrounding areas, with a special focus on access to care for the under-insured, uninsured, working poor and medically needy. Designated as a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in 2007, ECC has expanded access to health care for the most vulnerable citizens in our community, and now provides a wide range of services for both children and adults at nine locations in Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties. Last year, Escambia Community Clinics, Inc. sites provided over 89,000 patient visits.
