Magan Cook almost seems destined to be in the healthcare business. She grew up in South Georgia surrounded by a family in medicine, “with multiple nurses in my immediate and extended family.” She’ll be based in the pediatrics department at our Milton location.
The Florida State University College of Nursing served as her post-secondary home, with Magan earning her degree in 2006. She then worked for a decade as a nurse in a Pediatric Intensive Care unit before earning her Master’s degree nursing from the University of South Alabama. Magan has since served in primary care as well as in emergency-room settings.
When not at work, Magan enjoys time with her teenage children, refurbishing furniture in her garage, or “crocheting on the couch with my family and our golden retriever.”
Community Health Northwest Florida seems like a perfect fit for Magan, who says I believe strongly in the mission and goals of Community Health Northwest Florida and I am lucky to be a part of taking care of my local community.”
