About the Event
What is Metanoia?
Metanoia is a multi-day training, in a retreat setting, focused on learning skills to incorporate co-journeying, discovering and trusting your own inner-wisdom, and understanding the science and neurobiology to support the approaches.
We hope to give you permission to integrate Heart and Soul into your clinical work through the use of a bottom-up approach. We will assist in finding groundedness in your physical body, stepping into your emotional body, and integrating the left and right hemisphere of your brain through experiential activities.
We aim to provide an atmosphere of safety and trust so you may lean into vulnerability and deep self exploration, and learn techniques you will able to bring into your clinical world to share with clients on their own journey.
Lodging
Shared Sleeping Spaces
Shared sleeping spaces are designed as a part of the experiential benefits of the retreat. Please be aware of the shared sleeping spaces offered below.
Shared sleeping space is defined as 1 glamping tent that includes 2 queen beds, a mini fridge, electrical outlets, and a coffee pot. Bathrooms are communal according to gender preference: toilet and shower stalls are private.
Additionally, if you would like to invite a colleague to share the queen bed with you, please specify during registration and we will do our best to accommodate.
While the lodging is shared, the grounds are large and offer many solitary spaces. Metanoia’s retreat schedule allows for some down time, but majority of the retreat will be outside of your glamping experience.

Retreat Setting at Coldwater Gardens

Gardens
Certified naturally grown gourmet produce year round.

Chickens
Our happy chickens eat all organic feed and scratch and lots of scraps from the gardens. We have six different varieties that lay a wide spectrum of eggs.

European honey bees
Bees play an extremely important role in nature. We keep several hives close to the gardens to assist with pollination of our crops and native species that rely on insects to transfer pollen from one plant to another.

Hydro and Aquaponics
Aqua culture and hydroponics meet in harmony. A symbiotic relationship of fish feeding the plants, the plants feeding the fish, and us too.

Community Health's Personal and Professional Philosophy
We know that to have true impact, we can’t operate alone.
We intend to integrate Mind, Heart, and Soul in all Things both personal and professional. Considering the Mind, we draw from established practices in philosophy and psychotherapy, while still leaving room to break new ground in our own research and practice. By integrating the heart, we highlight the one-of-a-kind life experiences each individual or clinician brings to each area of their life. When there exists synergy between Mind and Heart, the Soul then becomes the driving force behind Change, Growth, and Prosperity.
Achieving community health begins with many individual commitments to personal health. We believe that our holistic teaching philosophy promotes personal health in our community’s clinicians which will translate to better patient outcomes, a fulfilled professional life, and a more balanced personal life.
