What is CORE?
Gateway to addiction recovery
CORE stands for Coordinated Opioid Recovery. It was launched by the State of Florida in 2022 as a way to coordinate care for those who want to help battling an addition to opiates.
Ultimately, it’s about saving lives.
CORE flows from the state Department of Health, the Department of Children and Families, and the Agency for Healthcare Administration, through the counties, and then on to the organizations like Community Health Northwest Florida that offer treatment. That treatment can include things like medicate to help with withdrawals and weening, and other holistic programs that work on the whole person and not just symptoms.
