Hurricane Isaias.

Ahead of the expected arrival of Hurricane Isaias, all Community Health Northwest Florida locations will be closed on Friday, October 9, and Saturday, October 10, 2026. Patients are being notified of the changes and will be rescheduled as soon as possible, and patients with prescription refills due in the coming days also will be contacted, and the refills expedited. The closures include:

  • Jackson Street main site, including Women’s Health
  • 12th Avenue Pediatrics
  • Adult and Family Care at 1400 N. Palafox
  • C.A. Weis Elementary School pediatric clinic
  • Cantonment Pediatrics
  • Century Adult and Family Care and Century Pediatrics
  • Fairfield Dental
  • Highway 90 Pediatrics in Pace
  • Milton site on Caroline Street
  • Pediatric Convenient Care walk-in and Trinity Pediatrics on Ninth Avenue
  • Pharmacy at Bayou Boulevard
  • Pine Forest High School pediatric clinic
  • Waterfront Rescue Mission

Once the storm passes and it is safe to do so, Community Health Northwest Florida will assess its clinics and re-open as soon as possible. Updates will be posted at HealthcareWithinReach.org and on social media. Calls to the main line — (850) 436-4630 — will still be answered on Friday.

“The safety of our patients and our staff is paramount,” said Chandra Smiley, Chief Executive Officer of Community Health Northwest Florida. “We’ll be here for everyone once the storm has passed, and we can augment care with our mobile units if necessary.”

Tropical storm-force winds are expected in the Pensacola area by midday Friday, with the hurricane itself expected to make landfall in the evening to overnight. Storm surge is expected to peak between 5 and 7 feet. Isaias is expected to move inland early Saturday morning and weaken to a tropical depression as it makes its way into Alabama and Mississippi.

“We’re certainly concerned for everyone during the storm,” Smiley said. “But we’re just as concerned for our patients’ well-being once the storm passes and will be ready with our providers, pharmacies — and even counseling. We all know too well what kind of toll hurricanes can take on us all.”
