Dr. Joseph Klawitter joined the Community Health Northwest Florida provider team as Director of Pediatrics in August 2022.

He graduated from Illinois Benedictine College and Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine. Dr. Klawitter completed his residency at Wright State University at Dayton’s Children’s Hospital. He specializes in treating asthma and treating and preventing diseases in gastrointestinal or digestive tracts of children.

“Dr. Joe” says the best thing about being a doctor is, “Helping parents navigate the stress and joy of raising children and watching those patients develop and thrive.”

A father of five children, Dr. Klawitter enjoys cooking, collecting Disney pins, crafting Halloween decorations, reading and traveling with his wife.
