Dr. Sunni Martin is an optometrist at Community Health Northwest Florida, seeing patients at the Palafox Two location and serving on the Mobile Optical Clinic, which travels to local schools to provide vision screenings for students.
Dr. Martin, a native of southern West Virginia, earned her bachelor’s degree from Coastal Carolina University and her Doctor of Optometry from the Indiana University School of Optometry. She completed a residency in ocular disease at the Hershel “Woody” Williams VA Medical Center, where she went on to serve as Chief of Optometry Service.
Dr. Martin and her husband have four children and long dreamed of relocating to the Pensacola area after living here briefly early in their marriage. Outside the exam room, she enjoys coaching softball, basketball and other youth sports alongside her husband, keeping bees, and volunteering with her daughters’ Girl Scout troop.
